Keeping in view of these facts, tens of hundreds of people have gathered outside 10 Janpath demanding “double” food security. As per that these villagers will get double the benefits of the scheme till the election plus an “inconvenience allowance”.
Pankajwa Kumar, sarpanch of one of the villages in Northern UP said, “This is needed else these will die of hunger “. On the ot
her hand, women are also demanding an “inconvenience allowance”. “The demand is genuine” says 42 year old Lajwanti bai. “We have to spend extra time in preparing food and photo journalists take pix of leaders with our hubby leaving us to the feeling of being cheated”.
Although they were asked to leave with a promise of fulfilling, insider news says that a team of 289 members will be visiting these housed over a period of week to discuss the issue with those poor villagers off course over a dinner 😉
